Adding a touch of PINK® in BRAZIL
In April 2016 we visited our Brazilian distributor, GASE Produtos Graficos, to follow up on how the Brazilian market is reacting to our durable PINK® creasing matrix.
We are grateful to all our friends and colleagues in Brazil for extending a typically warm Brazilian greeting despite the thunderstorms that swept up through the country during the visit!
Following the launch of PINK® in Brazil, we have been delighted to learn that, without exception, customers have found the product to offer consistently high quality creasing thus ensuring maximum output speed on die-cutting machine and also at the folder/gluer stage.
At the heart of most innovation at C&T, we also explore how we can make our products ‘operator- friendly’. The ‘fibrous’ nature of PINK® allows the operator to chamfer or ‘work’ the product in a way that allows better board-flow through the machine. This was particularly evident when visiting a bag factory in Santa Catarina where PINK® was being used on block-bottom bags. The pressure created at the convergence of 5-6 creasing rules is quite intense so a product like PINK® is the preferred option.
In terms of durability and longevity, we were very happy that our product has exceeded expectation as in the case with Edelmann Brazil. Formerly Sulgrafica Embalagens, the Edelmann Group acquired this plant in 2015 where the workforce of around 100 employees produce high quality packaging for the Health Care, Beauty Care and Consumer Brands sector in the convenient location of the metropolitan area Porto Alegre in the south of Brazil.
With the continued excellent efforts of all the staff at GASE, we fully expect PINK™ to grow in stature in Brazil and continue to exemplify all the attributes of a matrix that rewards the skills of the operator.
Besides PINK®, GASE also stock a wide range of synthetic matrix in two locations in Brazil, Taquara and Sao Paulo. GASE Produtos Graficos can be found on our ‘Dealers’ contacts page in the website.
